version 1 10 released september 27, 2024 improvements accounting entry descriptions in qbo & realdesk accounting log we've revised all of the descriptions for each realdesk payment type, across qbo as well as the realdesk accounting log our goal was to make these consistent across both platforms, and as descriptive as possible most line descriptions and memos begin with the associated deal number to increase visibility, particularly when performing reconciliations in qbo there are no changes to accounting entry types or calculations improved agent bill in realdesk accounting log the entry for agent bills in the accounting log has been improved to add the tax payable on deductions no changes have been made to the qbo sync change "legal description" field name to "legal description / property id" this field name has been changed across a number of functions, including submission and updates to deals and listings, the transaction room review area, and the brokerage activity page remove "close listing" checkbox from send/receive payments when marking a listing deal closed, it is no longer necessary to "close" the associated listing the listing is automatically marked as "sold" when this occurs inactive offices don't appear in submit / update deal drop downs when a brokerage has been marked as inactive, it will no longer appear as an option in the submit or update deal screens improve error message for credit card failures after refunds when a credit card expense is refunded, it can't be charged again for at least 60 minutes due to limitations on the processor's side in cases where the user attempts to do so, there is now a clear error message "this transaction has recently been refunded and cannot be reprocessed for at least 60 minutes please try again later " bug fixes can't remove third party payment from eft queue resolved an issue that, in rare cases, would cause a third party withholding payment to remain in the unprocessed tab of the eft payments page even after selecting the "mark as paid" option view referral button invisible in review screen resolved an issue that, in some cases, caused the "view referral" button to display as blank (invisible text) on the transaction room review screen "emails in deal" download — pdf is blank resolved an issue that, in some cases, caused a pdf downloaded from the "emails in deal" window on ther broker page to generate as a blank document credit card refunds changed to office overrides displaying incorrectly resolved an issue that, in some cases, caused refunded credit card expenses that were switched to office overrides to display an incorrect paid amount in expense tracker this was a display bug only and did not affect actual amounts charged to agents qbo bill payment date should be identical to bill date resolved an issue that, in rare cases where payments were backdated or postdated, would cause the "bill payment" date to be incorrect now the bill payment date will always be the same as the bill date version 1 9 released september 13, 2024 improvements third party withholding payment improvements we've deployed a number of improvements and fixes to third party withholding deductions in realdesk when creating a third party withholding in deduction manager, it will automatically be set as tax exempt this ensures that tax collected on commission income will balance with tax paid on commission expense to the agent when the withholding is paid out, realdesk now creates a supplier entity for the payee (if it doesn't already exist), and reflects this on the qbo bill the qbo bill also displays the deal number associated with the original withholding if the withholding payment is a combination of withholdings from multiple deals, each is reported on its own line of the bill deleting a withholding payment in realdesk will also delete the corresponding qbo entries bug fixes cancelled payments remain in eft queue resolved an issue that, in rare cases, would cause an eft to remain in queued status even after being deleted from queue this only applied to efts that had moved to in progress status and were subsequently cancelled by the realdesk support team following a client request pause when navigating away from realtors page resolved an issue that, in rare cases, would cause realdesk to be unresponsive for a few seconds when navigating away from the active realtors section to another area of the platform version 1 8 released september 9, 2024 features commission expense account mapping in qbo realdesk now can map to two different commission expense (cost of goods sold) accounts in qbo this means that you can differentiate between internal commission payments (to your realtors) and external commission payments (for referrals, and cases where you are paying the buying brokerage directly) if you don't wish to enable this, simply do nothing and you'll continue to use the existing single commission expense account if you are interested in enabling this functionality, contact realdesk support and we can set you up in less than 5 minutes
